Assessor surveying a kitchen
Stage 2 · On the day

On the day

A methodical survey — not a walk-round.

The assessor works room by room in a set order so nothing is missed. You're welcome to follow along and ask questions; many customers find it genuinely useful.

  1. 1

    Exterior & construction

Wall type, age band, roof and any extensions are identified from outside first.

  2. 2

    Room measurements

Laser-measured floor areas and heights for every room, including conservatories.

  3. 3

    Heating, hot water & controls

Boiler or heat pump identified from the data plate; thermostat, programmer and TRVs recorded.

  4. 4

    Loft, insulation & glazing

Loft inspected where safe; insulation depth measured; windows checked for glazing type and age.

  5. 5

    Lighting, ventilation & renewables

Low-energy lighting count, extractor fans, solar PV and any battery storage.
