Compliance check

Can you let it today? Will it pass in 2030?

Privately rented homes in England and Wales must be rated E or above. The Government has consulted on raising that to C for new tenancies from 2028 and for all tenancies by 2030. Pick your current band to see where you stand.

Every landlord EPC we produce includes this verdict in writing, alongside the measures that would lift the rating and roughly what they cost.

What is the property's current EPC rating?

Select a band to see whether the property can be let today and how it measures against the proposed 2030 standard. Not sure of the rating? Check the free government register.

Built for landlords

More than a certificate — a compliance service.

Landlords have different pressures from home sellers: tenants in situ, deadlines set by tenancy dates and portfolios spread across the city. Our landlord service is shaped around that.

MEES verdict in writing

Clear statement of whether the property meets the current E minimum and the proposed C standard.

Tenant-friendly visits

We liaise with tenants directly if you prefer, give proper notice and text before arrival.

Renewal reminders

We log the expiry date and remind you 60 days before a certificate runs out.

Portfolio pricing

10% off from five properties, 15% from ten, with monthly consolidated invoicing.

Exemptions

When a property genuinely can't reach the minimum.

MEES allows specific, evidenced exemptions registered on the PRS Exemptions Register. They last five years and must be re-registered. We'll tell you honestly whether one applies — most properties can reach E affordably.

Exemptions are not automatic. Letting an F or G property without a registered exemption can attract penalties of up to £5,000 per property and publication on the register.

Under the Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES), privately rented homes in England and Wales must have a rating of E or above unless a valid exemption is registered. The Government has consulted on raising the minimum to C for new tenancies from 2028 and all tenancies by 2030, so many landlords are planning improvements now.
